Message From Chairperson

Nepal is home to people of different religious faiths. There has been mutual harmony, coexistence, and tolerance among all religious communities. Accepting this reality, we have been trying our best to serve society and the nation through our thoughts, words, and deeds while living in Nepal. We consider the positive and humanitarian teachings and ideals mentioned in our religious texts to be important. There should be a common effort to end the traditional harmful practices that have been prevalent in society and transform the society to create a happy, peaceful, prosperous, just and civilized society. NIRN -Nepal has been continuously striving for that.

NIRN-Nepal has empowered religious leaders by bringing them together and expanding its network, making its activities more effective. Religious and moral teachings have always been important in changing behavior and mindset . I have seen and experienced the positive impact that NIRN – Nepal programs have had.

Various projects run in collaboration with NIRN- Nepal and World Vision have played an effective role in ending the Chhaupadi system, the Boxi (witch )system, the dowry system, child marriage, and gender discrimination. If the collaboration between NIRN- Nepal and INGOs and the joint efforts of other stakeholders and government agencies continue, we will be able to achieve huge success in a few years.
