
As part of this initiative, Pradip Kumar Das recognizes the importance of interfaith networking and started actively participating in its programs. Although he already had a solid legal understanding of harmful traditional practices, his involvement in NIRN Nepal’s program has widened his knowledge of the religious perspectives on these practices. After completing the training, Mr. Das began to raise awareness among scholars, friends, and leaders of his community about the religious aspects of Harmful Traditional Practices.
Pradeep Kumar Das lives in Ward No. 6 of Brindban Municipality of Rautahat district. Pradeep Kumar Das, who has a family of 15 members, is also a journalist by profession.
He had assisted in registering local newspapers for programs operated by NIRN Nepal in partnership with World Vision International, Nepal (WVIN). In this context, Pradeep Kumar Das who is also a director of Shiladeep Online News, participated in the training on the role of religiousleaders, local stakeholders, and youth in reducing Harmful Traditional Practices (HTPs) organized by NIRN Nepal.
